PAWS” and more for Pathways Program

This year our Grand Master M.W.B. Terry W. Posey and his Wife Cheryl, have started a program to help raise Money for The “Pathways Center for Alzheimer’s Care, at the Ohio Masonic Home”.

They have first hand knowledge of what Alzheimer’s is and it’s effect on a Loved one. MWB. Posey’s Mother was a resident at Pathways. While there, they saw how Pet Therapy, Gardening as well as Therapeutic Motion, can be of help to Alzheimer Patients.

With the forecast that by 2025 more than 12 Million Americans will have Alzheimer’s, they feel it necessary to Spotlight this great facility.

We are asking that in the Months of March and April, your Lodge take up a collection for The “PAWS” program.

Please send your Donation to the FMDOA and one check will be written on behalf of our District. Please help these Patients.

This is a story that we all can get behind!

If we send just $1.00 to this deserving cause than we can say we helped to make a difference. Let us not forget that it was these men and women, that make it possible for us to do what we do.
Please help,
Keith Clepper, DDGM

The Mohawk Honor Roll is a World War II monument in the Cincinnati neighborhood of Mohawk. The house in background belongs to Charles Barnett, Tyler of Queen City Lodge, who saved the monument in 1988 by buying it from the city for $1. It is in serious disrepair and needs your support.

Mohawk Monument

The War memorial is "owned" by Queen City's Lodge No. 559 Tyler, Charles Barnett.

A Message from our Grand Master

  1. In February, each member of the Grand Lodge of Ohio will receive a letter from me asking them to donate to the Korean War Masonic Memorial and Vietnam War Masonic Memorial. These memorials will be dedicated at Springfield Masonic Communities on June 6, 2010 at OMH Day. Any monies not utilized will be turned over the Ohio Masonic Home Benevolent Endowment Fund. I discussed this matter in my rollout programs. It is time to welcome home those brethren who served.

  2. For the first time in memory, the six presiding officers of Grand Bodies in Ohio will be attending each other’s Blue Lodge inspections (assuming good weather and good health). If you are in those Districts or nearby, please promote these events. The dates and locations are as follows:

  4. Please promote the “Uniformed Services Program.” I am asking Lodges to consider reducing their Initiation fees for Active and Discharged Military (including National Guard and Reserves); Active and Former Law Enforcement Officers and Active and Former Firefighters and EMT. The minimum allowable by Code is $40. Lodges may pass a resolution temporarily reducing their initiation fee for this year. Pamphlets for this Program is on www.freemason.com. In addition, posters are still available from Chad Simpson csimpson@freemason.com. You can call him and order them. Those should NOT be sitting in a secretary’s desk or on a Lodge Wall. They should be distributed in police stations, sheriffs offices, fire stations, VFW's and American Legions.

  5. Finally, please mention my blog. It is a diary of the Grand Lodge Officers and my travel with photos. http://gmohio.blogspot.com.
